About the Initiative

The Serve Our Schools Initiative expands the number of adult volunteers who support NYC's public schools through partnerships with local nonprofit organizations.

During the 2011-2012 school year, Serve Our Schools partner organizations engaged over 16,800 volunteers to assist over 230,000 New York City's public school students through academic enrichment and school community building activities.
