ABOUT THIS INITIATIVE:  

 In partnership with the New York Blood Center, NYC Service encourages New Yorkers to donate blood or volunteer at blood drives. There is always a constant need for blood - close to 2,000 people each day are needed to support the community blood supply. 
 
Individuals can donate by visiting the New York Blood Center website at www.nybloodcenter.org. City employees interested in donating via the New York City Employee Blood Program should contact their supervisor to determine when the next drive for their department or agency will be held.
