About Go Pass
The Go Pass initiative offers organizations a simple, thorough and reliable screening process for volunteers who work with vulnerable populations. NYC Service runs this initiative in partnership with the New York City Department of Education and the Fund for the City of New York.
Organizations that are Go Pass members maintain a roster of their volunteers and receive updates on any changes in status.
All Go Pass volunteers undergo a one-time, fingerprint-based background check and receive a key card with a Go Pass ID number.
Member organizations can check the eligibility of any Go Pass volunteer without having to collect sensitive information or run another background check on the volunteer. Go Pass member organizations maintain a roster of volunteers and receive updates on any changes in status due to criminal activity.
