About Go Pass

In conjunction with the Department of Education and the Fund for the City of New York, NYC Service offers organizations to register with Go Pass, a simple, thorough and reliable screening process for volunteers who work with vulnerable populations.   

Once registered, all sponsored volunteers undergo a one-time, fingerprint-based background check and receive a key card with a Go Pass ID number.  

Member organizations can check the eligibility of any Go Pass volunteer without having to collect sensitive information or run another background check on the volunteer.  Go Pass member organizations maintain a roster of volunteers and receive updates on any changes in status due to criminal activity.
