Description

We are looking for a self-motivated intern who likes to seize the initiative by starting projects and continuing them until their conclusion. We would like this person to provide us with a clear picture of who they are, what they are passionate about and how they would like to contribute to our mission. It would be advantageous for this intern to have relevant credentials, personal knowledge and/or experience in marketing. However, we are willing to take into consideration their willingness to learn and adapt into a new role. Upon acceptance, we will provide you with a specific set of responsibilities that will help you gain priceless insight into the real-time workings of a young, global NGO. As an AfA Intern, you will have the opportunity to see firsthand the vital role that art plays in the lives of communities that we serve. In return, you will also be in a unique position to show off your skills, talents and expertise to us. This way, your experience can be mutually beneficial, and you will feel that you can grow with us in the weeks and months of your work with us. Your work will have direct impact on the entire organization; therefore, your weekly reports will be sent to Artfully AWARE’s Executive Team based out of both the United States and The United Kingdom. You will be in continuous contact with Hilary Wallis, AfA Executive Director.

Requirements
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES You will have the opportunity to help us devise specially tailored sponsorship packages for corporate sponsors based in the NYC area. You will also research, identify and approach interested organizations and companies with the purpose of getting them involved with Artfully AWARE. RESPONSIBILITIES Learning about all aspects of AfA-- from our programs and services, to our products we sell and the countries where we work/intend to work. Learning about the current NYC marketplace and what areas companies are doing economically well. Creating a database of potential companies and organizations that could be interested in sponsoring AfA. Developing appropriate and enticing sponsorship packages that are tailored to the individual needs of the potential companies and organizations. Contacting and approaching those listed in the database with the assistance of AfA staff. Following up with emails, phone calls and making visits.
