Group Activities Assistant

Volunteers will assist group leaders in conducting group projects and activities for HIV-infected children. Group activities range from the completion of art projects to production of plays to opportunities for pet therapy. This position is perfect for people who are compassionate, understanding, and like to work in a group setting.

Volunteers must fill out an application form and also have an interview with the volunteer coordinator. They must complete a medical history and must be up-to date with immunizations (arrangements for a physical will be handled by the center). Volunteers will be screened through New York State?s Child Abuse Registry. Volunteers must attend a Catholic Charities Information Session. A brief orientation and training program will be provided at the site.
