Mano a Mano: Mexican Culture Without Borders, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Mexican culture in New York City, seeks an intern to join the Project Management team for the Spring, Summer and Fall 2010 semesters. We are a small, bustling office that presents public programs including festivals, seminars and workshops in collaboration with schools, museums and community organizations. The successful candidate should be motivated, organized, detail-oriented, have strong computer skills and a commitment to learning about arts administration and a desire to work with New York’s immigrant and ethnic communities. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Responsibilities include assisting in general clerical duties, data entry, research, and planning and implementation of arts projects and special events. Curriculum development and website updating are possible additional tasks. Internships average 20 hours per week and scheduling is flexible. This is an unpaid position. Intern will be supervised by Ph.D. Folklorist - academic credit can be arranged. Please email resume, cover letter, and list of 2 (minimum) references to esocolov@manoamano.us.
