Overnight Homeless Shelter Volunteer

The Respite Bed Program is a network of volunteer-run shelters located throughout Brooklyn and Queens that provide homeless adults with a complete dinner and safe bed for the evening. Each site serves between 5 and 15 guests. Overnight volunteers ensure that guests receive a warm welcome and have all the things they need for a pleasant evening and see them off in the morning.

All Respite Bed Volunteers are fully trained. Overnight volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
