Respite Recreation Support Volunteer

Must be at least 16 years old. Assist staff in supporting individuals in recreational and community based activities. Recreation may include trips to sporting events, amusement parks, museums, arcades, movies etc. Volunteer will be responsible to ensure safety of individuals, companionship i.e. read, talk, listen, share music and hobbies, play games, etc. all under the guidance of professional staff

Orientation and training will be given by staff. Main requirement is patience, good judgment, responsible, dependability, stability and sensitivity to persons with disabilities. Applicants must agree to a PPD Mantoux test and background check and fingerprinting before starting to volunteer.
