About this volunteer opportunity
Description
The Comfort Zone is a specially designed program devoted to providing support for adult caregivers of our patients. Experienced, trained and knowledgeable volunteers will offer support and guidance to caregivers by providing the following: relaxation programs, shoulder massage, printed reference materials, music, notebooks and other resources. Volunteers will also offer a listening ear to caregivers.
Requirements
Volunteers who are interested in providing massage and relaxation therapy must be trained and certified in this area. They must be able to provide proof of their certification at the time of their volunteer interview. Volunteers who wish to provide education and general support to caregivers should be empathetic, caring, and compassionate and have strong listening skills.
