Volunteer/Intern, Special Events

amfAR seeks a part-time or full-time volunteer/intern to participate in amfAR’s busy Special Events section of the Development Department. As intern you will participate in planning and executing successful events and benefit auctions, and learn the logistical requirements surrounding mailings, project research, and supplies inventory. This is an unpaid volunteer/internship. Schedule is negotiable. The Special Events Intern will be providing office assistance with the following events, among others: Bucks County Cabaret TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art San Francisco Fall Gala This volunteer/internship will especially benefit those pursuing a career in event planning and non-profit fundraising. Applicants should be organized, detailed-oriented with strong communication, writing, and computer software skills. Ability to speak and write Italian or Arabic a plus.
