Volunteer as a Friendly Visitor to an Older Adult

Hudson Guild is a multi-service community center serving those who live, work, or go to school in Chelsea, with a focus on those in need. With offerings as varied as community service projects for at-risk teens, mental health counseling for low-income individuals, wellness services for older adults, arts programming, and early childhood education for children, the Guild provides services to people in need and other activities to ensure a vibrant, safe, and healthy community.

The Guild's Adult Services Program has helpd older adults live in independence and dignity as contributing memebrs of the community since 1947. The Guild offers a range of programs designed to respond to emerging trends and needs in the senior population, with a focus on keeping adults healthy, active and engaged through a range of educational recreational and health promotion services and activities.

Escorts must be 18 years or older. Speaking another language besides English is a plus but not necessary. Sensitive to the needs of older adults and those with disabilities. Some paperwork required.
