Volunteer opportunity description

MASA-MexEd Inc. provides after-school and mentorship services to elementary- and middle-school students of Mexican descent living in or near the South Bronx. We also offer to services to parents, including ESL courses, financial literacy workshops, and workshops focused on navigating the NYC public school system. The organization relies heavily on the support of volunteers to serve the varied needs of students involved in the program.

We are currently seeking volunteers to lead a small basic ESL course with parents of students enrolled in MASA-MexEd's program on Tuesdays from 6 PM - 8 PMbeginning July 10, 2012.

Our current ESL teacher recently got a new job out of the City and can no longer volunteer at MASA - but is more than willing to speak with new volunteers to review parents' progress during his course, etc.
