Please view our website for a complete overview of this program. Doula volunteers are compassionate companions to people who are in the last 18 months of life. Doula volunteers complete a course consisting of eight 1 _ hour sessions and are asked to volunteer for a minimum of 18 months after the training. Doulas serve one patient at a time until death, providing continuity of care if the patient move

There is an interview required. Volunteers must commit to volunteer one hour per week for 18 months after the 8 week training. Training is in the evening, once a week, for 8 weeks from 6-8 PM. Trainings are given twice yearly. Please read our website before contacting us, so you can understand the nature of the service and the requirements. Minimum age requirement is 25. This is not an appropriate opportunity for MSW students.
