SUPER SABADO: Around the Block (Saturday, June 16th)
Preparations are underway for our next SUPER SABADO! Every third Saturday we offer a free day of programming called SUPER SABADO, during which we open the doors to the galleries for free and offer programs related to a particular theme. On Saturday, June 16th we'll invite visitors to explore other cultural treasures in Spanish Harlem/El Barrio through this month's theme: Around the Block. While the galleries will remain open for free as usual, museum staff and volunteers will be stationed in different locations in the neighborhood, along with our partners La Casa Azul Bookstore, P.S 72, Manhattan Neighborhood Network, Taller Boricua, Art for Change, and the 103RD Street Garden.
We're searching for Volunteers to help us with a range of tasks, from greeting and distributing materials, assisting with our travelling photo booth, assisting with art-making activities and more. This time around Volunteers will remain in their assigned station for the duration of their 4 hours shifts.
