About The Actors Theatre Workshop
The Actors Theatre Workshop is an award-winning non-profit theatre, community center and educational institution that teaches innovative educational techniques and theatre principles to adults and children from all walks of life; produces classical and contemporary plays and documentary films that maintain the highest artistic standards; and develops new dramatic works that examine the social issues of the day.

www.ActorsTheatreWorkshop.com is a static html site that lives on a hosted environment. It was recently upgraded from html to xhtml. The short-term vision for the site is to transfer it to Drupal. The non-profit organization would like to limit the dependency on a web developer for minor changes to the website and enhance the functionality of the site with built-in Drupal modules.
Position Summary: The Actors Theatre Workshop seeks an experienced Drupal developer to volunteer in its NY office. The volunteer will set-up a Drupal environment on our hosted web environment, replicate and transfer the current static html site in Drupal, build a theme, and train staff on how to use the Drupal interface to update the site. The volunteer will help recruit volunteer staff with the appropriate skills for a full redesign and rearchitecture of the site. The Volunteer Drupal Developer will report to the Internet Media Marketing Manager, who is a professional web developer.

Requirements
· 1+ years of experience in Drupal development.
· experience with PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS and MySQL.
· Self-directed individual that can work independently and with teams.
· Willing to tap into professional network or network to find a Web Designer and Information Architect for the second phase.
· Ability to teach administrative interface of Drupal to Senior Staff members who have average computer literacy mainly in MS Office applications.
