Volunteer opportunity description
The festival has over 100 costumes available for use by performers, VIP's and volunteers. We need volunteers to select costumes and accessories for them on the day of the festival. We need vols at 8:00AM to help set out the costumes and prepare for the performers who start arriving at 8:30AM. We need vols from 8AM-11AM. In the afternoon, we need vols from 4PM to 8PM for costume returns and putting the costumes away on racks.
The festival is slated for Sunday September 30th, 2012. Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan and is reached by taking the A train to 190th Street--take the elevator up and you are in the park. This is our 28th year!
Requirements
Prior experience with costuming. Ability to modify costumes to better fit the recipient through strategic use of safety pins, make minor repairs.
