Volunteer opportunity description

We need photographers to capture the events and ambiance of this years Medieval Festival, capturing pictures of  the audience, performers and merchants that conveys the enjoyment, organization, physical background, "Medieval-ness" and general activities of the event.  The festival features ten stage areas, jousting between armored knights on horseback, combat, music, drama and over 100 costumed performers mingling with the crowd.  On average, over 60,000 people attend this one day event, making it one of the largest in NYC Parks.

We will provide a pass which allows you onto the jousting field, under the supervision of and with the permission of the jousting team, if you desire.

We can provide you with a medieval costume and a free lunch and refreshments on the day of the festival, Sunday, September 30th, 2012. Fort Tryon Park is located in Upper Manhattan and is easily reached via the A train to 190th Street--take the elevator up to the entrance to the Park.
