Volunteer opportunity description
MASA is seeking dedicated volunteers to provide tutoring services to elementary- and middle-school students at its South Bronx community center.
The community center's after-school program operates on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 6 PM - 8 PM. At the program, students primarily receive homework help and develop their reading skills, but they also have opportunities to participate in art, music, and other enrichment activities.
Weekend one-on-one tutoring opportunities are also available!
MASA's school year program will run through Friday, June 14th. Our summer program will operate from Monday, July 8, through Friday, August 16, and will include: homework help and tutoring (Mondays), opportunities to lead math mini-lessons and activities (Mondays), opportunities to help facilitate summer science workshops (Tuesdays), and opportunities to help out with family art workshops (Fridays).
