Volunteer opportunity description
Join the Student Conservation Association for December's ConSERVE NYC event at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Saturday, December 7th.
Van Cortlandt Park is the third-largest park in New York City, and contains over 20 miles of trails. Volunteers will be working on the park’s Cross Country Trail, building water bars to divert stormwater and prevent erosion.
This event is the third in a yearlong series of public service projects that SCA is holding across New York City. With Saturday conservation projects at new sites each month, ConSERVE NYC offers volunteers the opportunity to help build resiliency in New York City's public lands—and to network with others who share an interest in urban conservation.
