SENIOR CHAT: This unique program lets caring New Yorkers ?visit? isolated elderly over the phone once a week. Calls can be form the volunteer?s home or office. This program works with a small group of volunteers or corporate teams.

All volunteers are given an orientation prior to their volunteer project. The length and substance of the orientation is dependent on the nature of the service. Sporadic and one-time volunteers are a brief overview of the services that Citymeals provide. All volunteers must complete an application with two references. This process is waived for corporate, school and community groups.
