Volunteer opportunity description

The Police Athletic League of New York City seeks dedicated and skilled volunteers to support “homework help”, a volunteer tutoring opportunity that is designed to help student who may require a little more support to get ahead.

 

Volunteers are needed to engage, PAL afterschool Participants in constructive academic learning. For nearly 100 years, PAL has provided safe and supportive afterschool and evening programming for elementary aged youth and teens.

Requirements

 

1. Dependable and prompt.

2. Interested in and enjoys relating to youth.

3. Willingness to maintain the confidentiality.

4. Understanding of elementary and middle school curriculum

5. Flexible, friendly, patient and optimistic.

6. Sense of humor is helpful.

7. Must be 18 years old

8. Must complete background check
