Volunteer opportunity description

ACCE recognizes that positive adult interaction with youth is an important adjunct in positioning our youth for successful movement forward, not only as it relates to their educational endeavors, but also, as they are making daily determinations about life decisions.

Being a Mentor, is about being a positive adult role-model for a young person.  And although tutoring and assisting a youth (either individually or in a group situation) is the main focus of our after-school program, the mentoring component becomes a salient part of your interaction with the child/children.

Those who are interested in volunteering as a mentor with the African Center for Community Empowerment's dynamic after-school program, where we are changing young lives for the better...please contact our organization via e-mail @ acce.saywalah@gmail.com or call 718-264-9638.
