Description & History

The New York City Police Museum is a non-profit that tells the story of Policing in New York. The Museum audience includes tourists from all over the world, local families, Police Officers and their families,and a large number of school and community groups from the five boroughs. The Museum has a number of permanent exhibits including an exhibit on 9/11 and counterterrorism; runs programs for schools about the job of Police Officers and safety; and runs slate of public family programs and events throughout the year.
