Organization Details

First Jamaica Community Urban Development Corp. (FJCUDC) was created to administer the social services programs that were traditionally administered through the church, First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica (FPCJ).

FPCJ has been a successful provider of services to the community for over 300 years.

Currently we run a youth program, feeding program, emergency food services, nutritional instruction classes, provide educational resources and workshops for parents and children and social service referrals.

Partnerships have included: Food Change, York College, Cornell Cooperative Extension program, Department of Youth Community Development, Jamaica Improvement Association and the 103rd Precinct.

We believe that when people receive the help that they need, they are able to overcome life challenges and move forward to live purposeful and productive lives.
