Pets for Life NYC (PFLNYC), a Program of the Humane Society of the United States, is an innovative pet surrender prevention program dedicated to helping people resolve problems that could otherwise lead them to surrender their pets to the city?s shelter where the animals risk euthanasia due to lack of enough homes. PFLNYC offers free and low-cost behavior training, reduced cost veterinary services for those who qualify, free/low cost spay/neuter resources, foster homes and reduced cost boarding for pets of people in crisis, landlord-tenant pet related assistance, allergy and shedding solutions, and general guidance and support for pet guardians.
