Rebuilding Together NYC is a 501(c) (3) organization that repairs the houses of low-
income home owners and community center facilities at no cost to the recipients. We
are an organization that relies on a volunteer base that is team oriented and has a
strong work ethic, in addition to construction experience. This opportunity is a great
way to get out of the house, share your skills and expertise, meet new people and see
a different part of New York on every project. Rebuilding Together is looking for leaders,
with an interest in civic engagement, for renovation projects in all five boroughs on
weekdays and/or occasional Saturdays.

Position Descriptions
Skilled Volunteer – Volunteer, meet new people and build on the experience you have! We are looking for those with skill sets in Carpentry, Painting, Electrical, Plumbing, Flooring, Masonry and more! Volunteers must be familiar with tools and must be able to work with little supervision after initial orientation to the overall project. Lunch will be provided on Rebuilding Days.
Examples of Tasks: Installing Door Bells, double railings, Installing task lightening in
kitchen, bathroom another work areas etc!
House Captain/Site Captain – Please come and share your expertise with Rebuilding Together NYC! We are looking for volunteers with great interpersonal skills, technical savvy and experience with various aspects of light construction (mainly painting) to manage and lead small groups of volunteers. Light orientation training and lunch will be provided on Rebuilding Days.
Examples of Tasks: Share your knowledge and manage small groups of volunteers!
