Description & History

Our original arts and literacy programs teach and encourage children through collaboration with grown-ups. We believe that these collaborative programs: - improve the relevancy and effectiveness of classroom and extracurricular learning - create confident children who carry their ability to express themselves into adulthood - build strong communities that celebrate the value of young voices from diverse backgrounds Kids loan us their written work - anything from comic books to novellas to a couple of short sentences--and we turn those stories into a play with puppets and costume and professional actors. We invite kids to see what they've written become big, noisy and real and we watch, as one after another, these kids begin to call themselves writers.
