Description & History

HHAP has provided educational and career development services to more than 300 students, whom we can trace into adulthood and note the direct impact of our services on the individual, family and the overall community.

In our last service year, the program was credited with raising the grade point average of 50% of its students by a minimum of 10 points.

The program focuses on motivating our youth to excel, while assisting them in personal improvement toward their highest levels of academic achievement, interpersonal development, self-actualization, and cultural awareness during the daily three and one half hours program.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure each child will develop into a self-sufficient, contributing member of his/her community, our nation, and global 21st Century environment.

Furthermore, our program helps reduce the number of youth involved in gangs and community violence, by providing a ?safe haven? during the typically unsupervised after-school period.

All students in attendance increase their worldview by attending field trips and using technology.
