Description & History

Our program specifically targets the community surrounding PS 260. (Breukelen) We provide a number of programs, activities, and events geared towards increasing productivity and strengthening social networks within the community as well as bringing awareness to and dealing with the pressing issues and topics affecting the community.

We focus on the children, but through the children we can get the entire community involved in positive work. We concentrate on enrichment through activities such as horseback riding, camping, skiing, panel discussions, school exchanges, college campus tours, and many others.

We also have many activities on campus that volunteers play a crucial part in such as a haunted fun house, actors for our film and media class, facilitators for sports fun days, group discussion leaders, and things as simple as reading with a second grader for our Y.E.T. reading program.

No matter what you choose to volunteer for no one leaves without being richer for the experience.

And that's people on both sides.
