The Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation?s was created in 1978 to foster economic development in our community.

Our B.O.$.$. program provides business counseling, technical assistance, direct loans, grants, referral and other business development services to neighborhood businesses.

WHIDC?s Childcare Business Development Program is a self-employment and business expansion service designed to assist low-income individuals develop licensed child care businesses.

WHIDC produces the annual Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park.

This one-day event is the largest single day event in NYC Parks, attracting over 60,000 visitors from throughout the region.

The festival started in 1983.
