The agency was founded to provide a learning place for youth during the 1968 NYC Teacher?s strike. Today, 40 years later, CASW is the neighborhood?s most experienced youth serving agency - delivering programs to the families of Washington Heights, Inwood and the Bronx.

In 1968, CASW served approximately 50 youth in seven, weekend workshops.Our programs have expanded over the years and we currently serve over 3,000 youth and their families on an ongoing,year- round basis.
