Organization Details

The founder and one part time staff person are supplemented by volunteers and interns. We are based in Brooklyn Heights, NY and Brattleboro, VT.

In addition to the main work of the organization with schools, parent groups and at conferences, the founder has a weekly radio program out of Brattleboro "The Healthy Media Choices Hour" The non-profit grew out of work with young children and their families at Ariadne's Thread, a preschool-aged program in Brooklyn. In 2002, formal workshops and filing for non-profit status began.

In 2006, a second location and registration in VT was opened. We have given workshops at Head Start Centers, national teachers conferences, private and public schools, homeless shelters and small parent groups.
