National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) New York Section is a volunteer organization that has been at the forefront of social change in New York City for 114 years. With over 2,000 members, it is one of the largest Sections of National Council of Jewish Women, which champions the needs of women, children, and families and works to safeguard individual rights and freedoms through a network of 90,000 members and supporters nationwide. NCJW NY Section maintains 15 innovative local community service programs. Our activities include: children?s services; services to the hungry; an all-day senior center; advocacy programs in support of separation of religion and state, women?s health, wellness and reproductive choice; strategies to prevent domestic violence; scholarship programs; education projects and programs in Israel.
