Description & History

The Youth Transition Empowerment Program (YTEP), offers youth and young adults between the ages of 18 to 23 with a continuum of services. These are youth who are exiting foster care to live on their own and those youth reunited with their families. We provide both curriculum and practical skills instruction to aide the youth in the furtherance of their development as they transition from adolescence to young adulthood. Our goal is to reduce the number of young adults who exit from foster care into homelessness. We will accept referrals 4 weeks prior to the young person final discharge from foster care.
