Chaplain Services

Chaplain services provide spiritual care and compassionate listening to patients and their family and friends in the hospital and to residents and their family and friends in the nursing home. Spiritual cre is also extended to staff in both facilities. The services provided are available to all persons regardless of faith persuasion. The volunteer chaplain will be trained in compassionate listening and basic requirements of the hospital and nursing home. Each volunteer chaplain will be trained in how to make a visit and how to process what has happened in the experience. The volunteer chaplain will be trained to be sensitive to the needs and wants of the patient or resident. Prayer may be included at the request of the patient or resident.
