Description & History
Goals: 1) To offer classes in English as a Second Language (ESL), Computer, Internet, African History, African dance and drum, and other classes. 2) To offer educational guidance counseling and computers. 3) To refer clients to social services such as health, housing, immigration, childcare, vocational training and employment, welfare, domestic violence, judicial system. 4) To maintain an on-site collection and library of resources and materials %) To organize seminars, student exchange programs between the USA and Africa, study abroad programs in Africa, summer programs, touristic travels, cultural activities, art exhibits, trade and industry expos, performances, festivals, and concerts 6) To offer translation and resume services, assistance in filling out application forms, proposal writing, event planning, and 501(c)3 sponsorship.
