African Center for Community Empowerment

ACCE's mission is to empower and develop at-risk inner-city youth to become wholesome, functioning members of society; to train and provide the tools necessary for low income teen and young adult parents to help themselves and their children by becoming responsible adults and better parents; and to serve as a resource center for economic, social and cultural revival and empowerment for low income inner-city communities. The Vision and Goals of ACCE'S programming are: To engage in preventive and remedial programs aimed at reducing the high rate of delinquency amont inner-city youth. Current activities include: * After-school program, arts, computer, eductional enrichment and test preparation. *Mentoring & leadership building. *Sports & recreation *Workshops in parenting skills, educational & financial literacy *Community outreach and advocacy *Teen & young adult entrepreneurship and job readiness development
