Description & History

Do you love volunteering and being a part of an amazing cause? Do you like exercising and/ or riding a bicycle? Do you want to be a play a part in the movement to STOP DIABETES? JOIN the TOUR de CURE STREET TEAM!!! The NYC Tour de Cure is a premiere cycling event that occurs annually (Sunday, June 3, 2012) to benefit the American Diabetes Association. This bike ride raises crucial funding for diabetes research, advocacy and programs for the 26 million people nation- wide living with diabetes. This event takes all year long to plan and lots of community outreach takes place throughout the year to recruit riders! We are currently forming a Street Team which is an amazing core of volunteers that we can call on before various community events. The Street Team will consist of advocates like you that come out to support community events and recruit riders for the 2012 Tour de Cure! This team will receive monthly messaging updating the team on community events that the American Diabetes Association will be participating in. Street Team members can jump onboard throughout the year and help make a difference in this movement to STOP DIABETES.
