Description & History
We go beyond meeting the nutritional needs of our clients with the Friendly Visiting Program. A volunteer is matched with a homebound older adult who may not have any contact with the world beyond their door. A weekly face to face chat with a volunteer can help a senior stay socially connected and reside in their home longer. Friendly visitors are one of the best ways to address the psychological health and social isolation among our homebound population. Seniors are matched with a volunteer based on the senior’s needs, interests and community.
