Description & History
The Coalition relies on a trained volunteers to teach classes in all five boroughs. We teach financial education on two levels: 1) Train the Trainer workshops to coach volunteers on how to conduct classes using the Coalition?s methods and materials, and 2) Consumers classes, taught by our volunteers, in low income communities, including schools, community centers, churches, clubs. The classes are engaging and lively, centering on practical topics like spending plans, credit card use, credit reports and scores, and protecting against identity theft and money scams.
