(Please note that space is limited for Sunday’s planting.)
Join us in celebrating MillionTreesNYC month this April by volunteering at this annual event and join with people across the five boroughs to plant 20,000 trees in a single weekend. More than 650,000 trees have already been planted in New York City and with the help of dedicated volunteers like you, we are well on our way to planting one million by 2017. The Mayor’s Office and MillionTreesNYC are teaming up once again to plant more than 7,400 trees at the Mayor’s Office Spring Planting Day at Alley Pond Park and more than 500 trees on Sunday at Clove Lakes Park.
Click on the links above to receive an email registration form. When you receive this form, please take the opportunity to invite friends, family and co-workers to join us. (We appreciate your understanding that we encourage children 10 years and older to participate.)
When you register, you’ll have the opportunity to sign up for a bus leaving from City Hall to the planting site. Parking is extremely limited at Alley Pond Park so we strongly encourage you to sign up for this bus.
When you arrive, we’ll provide training, a light breakfast, a ShapeUpNYC Tree-Stretch class, a boxed lunch, gloves, NYCWater, extra sun block and poison ivy lotion, and lots of smiles and appreciation! Restrooms will be available on site.
We encourage you and your guests to wear long pants, comfortable shirts, sturdy shoes/sneakers, and baseball caps or hats, and to bring extra sun block.
As we approach the planting day, you will receive a reminder email that will give further details about the status of transportation, arrival times, and your guests’ registration.
If you have any questions, please contact Lucy Morales at email@example.com.
Many thanks for volunteering. We look forward to seeing you (rain or shine!) at Alley Pond Park on April 27th or Clove Lakes Park onApril 28th.
