STATEN ISLAND, NY—GREAT KILLS—Mary Barbieri barely survived the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, when she was running an errand at One World Trade Center. She still has trouble performing physical activities.
She’s had numerous procedures and surgeries to correct problems in her back, neck, and feet, and the longtime Staten Island resident was unable to pack or unpack her belongings when she recently moved to a new apartment in Great Kills.
