Volunteer opportunity description

After-School Volunteer Opportunities

Classroom Aides- Be an assistant to our Elementary and Middle School teachers. Volunteers participate in classroom activities such as dance, robotics, and theatre, as well as support during instructional time in small groups and one-on-one settings.

Homework Helpers- It can be tough to sit down and get your homework done. Come help our Elementary and Middle School scholars concentrate on their assignments and show them how to build strong study habits.

One-on-One Tutors- Tutor our middle and high school scholars to succeed in a variety of subjects! Volunteers should feel confident tutoring in a 6th - 12th grade level subject such as Math, English, Science, History, and others.

Commitment: All volunteers are asked to commit to once a week depending on their program.

When: Flexible times Mondays through Thursdays 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Fridays 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., or Saturdays 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Your schedule will depend on the program you are interested in. Learn more about our programs on our website: ehtp.org/volunteer

All prospective volunteers must apply using the online application: http://bttr.im/ubhw2

Acceptance is contingent upon successful completion of medical and criminal background checks. We match volunteers to one of our established programs based on schedule preference and interest demonstrated through the phone interview after submission of an application.
