Volunteer opportunity description

At Breaking Ground, we provide all sorts of supportive services for our residents from case management and self-sufficiency workshops, to community-building and recreational activities in order to promote stability in the lives of the people we serve. The Times Square's Green and Healthy Living Expo is our annual healthy living information fair. A number of organizations and vendors will be attending the event, sharing information with tenants concerning various aspects of green and healthy living. This opportunity is perfect for companies who are interested in team-building opportunities for their staff.

We are in need of  7-10 volunteers to assist with cooking and fitness demonstrations, distributing materials on how residents can lead and maintain healthy lives, serve healthy snacks and refreshments, and encourage folks to participate in health screenings. Most importantly, volunteers should be engaging, creating a warm and inviting space for our clients, so that they'd be more receptive to receiving these resources.

Please know that if you are reserving this volunteer opportunity on behalf of a group, you will be committing to providing the number of volunteers needed to ensure the success of this event.

We truly value and depend on the help of our volunteers, and tend to express our thanks on social media. If reserving this opportunity on behalf of a group, you will be asked for any social media hashtags or handles your company utilizes, to be incorporated into our thanks.

Thanks very much for considering us!
