Volunteer opportunity description

I Challenge Myself believes that challenges provide opportunities to learn and grow. Perceiving challenges as opportunities allows youth to establish positive life skills in their critical adolescent years.

Ride with students from our 3 Cycling Smarts teams throughout NYC! Starting in March, our high school cyclists will begin their weekend training rides as they prepare for the Pride Ride on June 14th, 2020. Our teams ride out of the Lower East Side, South Bronx, and Washington Heights and are looking for engaged and caring NYC cyclists to ride with our teams and coaches to provide support as they cycle all throughout this city! Rides happen on Saturdays or Sundays, starting and finishing at our partner school sites

We need adults with their own bikes that are comfortable riding on city streets. We provide bikes, bottles, shorts, and jerseys for our students, and we’d love to show them the community of like-minded people that would welcome them as new bike riders!

If you’d like to help your community, introduce kids to the joys of cycling, go on fun no-pressure bike rides, and of course challenge yourself, then you should ride with us!
