Volunteer opportunity description

Join NYC Parks Stewardship in LaTourette Park!  Volunteers will learn how to identify and safely remove invasive plants in order to help create a healthier ecosystem. Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Space is limited online registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. This event is funded in part by a NYSDEC Urban Community Forestry Program
