VITA Free Tax Prep

Volunteers new to the VITA free tax prep program will be provided with all necessary training and assistance with passing all required certifications through the IRS Link and Learn platform. 

To keep our services virtual through the pandemic, we engage clients using Webex video-conferencing, dropbox, and docusign. Taxslayer is the platform used for tax preparation. 

Project Hospitality's virtual free tax prep program runs from January 25th - April 16th, 2021.

Volunteers must attend first-time tax preparer trainings and pass the Volunteer Standards of Conduct exam wtihin the IRS Link and Learn platform. 

We are particularly in need of tax-preparers who are bi-lingual in English and Spanish. 

We ask that our volunteers be able to commit to a weekly four-hour shift anytime Mon-Fri 9am-5pm for the duration of the tax season (Jan 25 - April 16).
