Volunteer opportunity description

At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has forced many New Yorkers to isolate, it has never been more important to reach out to our neighbors and ensure they can exercise their right to be heard at the ballot box. That is why we invite you to join our volunteer events on January 15th through February 2 to help voters make a plan to vote.

From the safety of your couch, you can reach thousands of New Yorkers, let them know about the upcoming election and answer their questions using our suggested responses. All you will need is either a phone, a computer, or a tablet to participate. We will provide training throughout the day and will have a hotline open in case you have questions or need assistance.

Ready to help get out the vote? Sign up for a phone bank here.

We will also be holding a voter education workshop to share information about upcoming local elections, ranked choice voting and more. Join us on Friday, January 15 or Saturday, January 23, and share this link to help us spread the word!

Finally, at a time when many New Yorkers have lost their health insurance and need it more than ever, the GetCoveredNYC team invites you to reach New Yorkers who may be uninsured and connect them to free health enrollment assistance before the Open Enrollment Period closes at the end of the month. Sign up here to participate in GetCoveredNYC’s Day of Action on Thursday, January 21 to ensure your friends, family and fellow New Yorkers have all of the information and assistance they need to get covered before the deadline.

Thank you for all that you do to protect our city and our democracy

Have a phone and tablet or computer!
