Volunteer opportunity description

Join us for a summer of weekend festivities!

This festival will help our community reconnect, reclaim our parks and streets, learn safety techniques, engage in group activities, and more!

Difficult times call for healing movement.
Join us on the first and third Sundays to engage in moving meditation, learning basic movements and breathing techniques that improve balance, cardiovascular health, harmony, and mood. We will utilize aspects of Taiqi, Qi Gong, and other practices to inform how we can reconnect with our bodies, minds, emotions, and surroundings.

The second and fourth Sundays will hold space for Protect Yourself, bKind's signature self-protection workshops where participants will learn reality-based street safety techniques that heighten awareness, build confidence, dispel fear, and enhance security. Your own strength lies within you, supported by our expert team that teaches strategies that are easy to learn and applicable to any situation. Bring a friend or meet new friends, come once or every week, as we respond to real life challenges together and practice coping skills in a safe, supportive environment.

  • Instructors needed for 1-2 hours on Sundays
  • CommUnity Wellness support with programs, classes, workshops, free resources, and events.
