Volunteer opportunity description

Program Monitors are in charge of starting daily sessions, greeting students and homework helpers, and assigning individuals to respective rooms as necessary. They will be responsible for recording attendance, serving as timekeepers, and room observers, addressing any technical, programmatic, or behavioral challenges, keeping records, and reporting to leadership as appropriate. The Monitor will work closely with Homework Helpers to oversee the day-to-day operations. This position reports directly to the Program Coordinator.  


  • At least 18 years of age 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Works well with children and adolescence 
  • Problem Solver 
  • Detail orientated
  • Excellent recordkeeping 
  • Access to a computer, internet, and web camera
  • Proficient in the use of the internet, and sending emails
  • Punctual 
  •  Savvy with Zoom meeting and breakout sessions management 
  • Ability to log in from a quiet space
